Who We Are

I am Doug Hammer and I am the sole proprietor, principle consultant, and operating manager of Anvil Consulting Services LLC.

I am a veteran who served over 26 years in the United States Air Force. My service instilled values of Integrity First, Service Above Self, and Excellence in Delivery. I am also a results-driven senior executive with over 35 years of experience delivering municipal administration and real property management solutions for commercial and federal markets. I have a proven ability to manage large, complex real estate and infrastructure portfolios, with a focus on strategic planning, governance, service delivery, infrastructure management, community planning, public safety, financial and human capital management across diverse organizational levels.

In addition to my military service, I spent over 10 years providing consulting services within the commercial space, working for large firms (Booz Allen Hamilton and IBM Consulting), medium-sized firms (ManTech International) and small businesses (Definitive Logic). Along the way, I’ve built highly motivated teams and led a successful profit and loss center.

Why I Get Up Every Morning

I am a big believer in knowing WHY I get up every morning, what motivates me, what am I about. I am a proponent of Simon Sinek’s Start With Why and Find Your Why books and concepts. Having been through the Find My Why process has helped me understand and articulate why I do what I do. Here is my WHY.
